“ Situated conveniently near the Hamilton Train station, The Grain Thai is a very nice restaurant with friendly obliging staff and a huge menu. Not being super hungry, we shared Oyster Sauce Seafood stir fry and the Thai fried rice with chicken. Both serves were steaming hot and generous. The sauce was tasty and not over-salty, the vegies fresh and tender crisp. My only criticism was the seafood which while fresh and plentiful, was not perfectly cooked. The squid, in particular, had that unpleasant rubbery texture. However, any place that serves a simple coke in a tall glass with ice, fruit and a paper umbrella deserves extra credit for presentation and care. Plus the service was incredibly quick. We've been here previously, both for breakfast and lunch and never had a problem. We will definitely be back. ”
